The Reason
This blog is the beginning of my sharing my book, which I am grateful to say has been endorsed by Ken Blanchard, the late Dottie Walters, Author of Speak and Grow Rich and Mr. Peter J. Daniels. The book is entitled; "Thank God It's Sunday! - The Gospel of Customer Service." In this book wrote on the empirical concepts of customer service in a simple, story like, parabolic form. Is is a style generally know as business-parable. In essence I sought to make the concepts simple by using a parabolic style. There was another great Teacher years ago that used parables.
For a season I will continue to blog sections of the book for you enjoyment. I hope you find this information helpful.
CHAPTER 1
“Thank God It’s Sunday!”
This book is a journey into the potential for greatness in you! Yes, you have the potential for greatness. I firmly believe that deep within each human being is the question; “What makes the
great, great?” As you read this book, I believe you will discover that the real key to true greatness is to be of service to others. No matter who you are, if you are breathing you are in customer service in one way or another. The concept of service has not been understood by
most people. Whether you are Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Billy Graham, or Jim Moran
the founder of Southeast Toyota who literally changed the face of the automotive business,
or simply a janitor, you are in customer service. What do all the great ones have in common?
(By the way, Wayne Gretzky was called “the great one”) They have an attitude of being of
service instead of being self-serving. They all served their audiences or customers with
impeccable excellence and became great. You can be a shining star if you learn how to serve others with excellence. You need to read this book and reap the life-changing benefits of delivering excellent service. I have lived it! As they say, “Been there; done that!”
1) A Meaningful Service Vision
2) Customer Oriented People
3) Customer Friendly Systems
By the way, this book really has nothing to do with religion as most people understand religion. It’s really about the true religion of being kind to others and serving them with excellence in every way, whether at home or work or the marketplace or the church or the synagogue or even in the world of entertainment. So relax! If you are a coffee drinker, I want you to know that great coffee and this book are extremely compatible. ☺
Read and enjoy, while I introduce you to some everyday people and profound concepts that will bring to you true wealth and greatness through service.
